Welcome to Brantr! Our community is built on the foundation of fitness, friendship, and fun. These Community Guidelines help ensure that Brantr remains a positive, safe, and inspiring place for everyone to brag, banter and bond with their community.

Fitness and Wellness Content
- Share your workouts, activities, and fitness achievements
- Post progress photos and celebrate milestones
- Share healthy recipes, tips, and wellness advice
- Encourage others in their fitness journeys
- Create and participate in group challenges and events
Positive Interactions
- Be supportive and encouraging in comments and reactions
- Offer constructive advice when appropriate
- Celebrate others' achievements, big and small
- Share motivational content that inspires the community
- Welcome newcomers and help them feel included
Authentic Sharing
- Post genuine content about your fitness experiences
- Share both successes and struggles honestly
- Use your real name and authentic profile information
- Give credit where it's due (tag workout partners, cite sources)

Harmful or Dangerous Content
Safety Violations
- Dangerous Challenges: Don't promote or participate in fitness challenges that could cause injury
- Unsafe Advice: Don't share medical or fitness advice that could be harmful
- Extreme Content: Avoid promoting extreme dieting, over-exercising, or unhealthy body standards
- Self-Harm: Content promoting eating disorders, self-harm, or dangerous weight loss methods is prohibited
Child Safety
- Zero Tolerance: Absolutely no content that exploits, endangers, or sexualizes minors
- CSAM: Child Sexual Abuse Material is strictly prohibited and will be reported to authorities
- Grooming: Any attempts to build inappropriate relationships with minors will result in immediate account termination
Harassment and Abuse
Bullying and Harassment
- Personal Attacks: Don't insult, demean, or attack other users
- Body Shaming: Never shame others for their appearance, fitness level, or progress
- Discrimination: No content based on race, gender, sexuality, religion, disability, or other protected characteristics
- Doxxing: Don't share others' private information without consent
Threats and Violence
- Threats: No threats of violence or harm against individuals or groups
- Violent Content: Don't share graphic violence or content glorifying violence
- Self-Harm: Don't promote or encourage self-harm or suicide
Inappropriate Content
Sexual Content
- Nudity: While fitness content may include athletic wear, explicit nudity is not allowed
- Sexual Content: Sexually explicit content, including suggestive poses primarily for sexual gratification
- Adult Content: Content involving sexual activities or adult services
Spam and Deceptive Practices
- Spam: Don't flood feeds with repetitive or irrelevant content
- Fake Accounts: Maintain only one authentic account representing yourself
- Impersonation: Don't pretend to be someone else or create fake profiles
- Misleading Information: Don't spread false information about health, fitness, or nutrition
Illegal Activities
Legal Violations
- Illegal Substances: Don't promote or sell illegal drugs or controlled substances
- Copyright: Don't share copyrighted content without permission
- Fraud: No scams, pyramid schemes, or fraudulent activities
- Illegal Activities: Don't use Brantr to coordinate or promote illegal activities
Special Guidelines
AI-Generated Content
- AI-generated fitness advice must be clearly labeled as AI-generated
- Don't use AI to create fake fitness achievements or misleading content
- AI "roasts" should remain playful and never target personal appearance or protected characteristics
- Report AI content that seems inappropriate or harmful
Group and Event Guidelines
- Group admins are responsible for moderating their groups according to these guidelines
- Event organizers must ensure events are safe and legal
- Respect group rules and the decisions of group administrators
- Real-world meetups and events are at participants' own risk
Strava Integration
- Only connect your own Strava account
- Don't manipulate or falsify activity data
- Respect the privacy settings others have chosen for their activities
- Don't use others' Strava data without permission
Reporting and Enforcement
How to Report
In-App Reporting
- Use the "Give Feedback" button throughout the app
- Report specific posts, comments, or user profiles
- Provide as much detail as possible about the violation
- For urgent safety concerns, mark reports as "Safety Concern"
What to Report
- Content that violates these Community Guidelines
- Harassment or bullying behavior
- Spam or fake accounts
- Safety concerns involving minors
- Threats or dangerous content
- Copyright infringement
Our Response
Investigation Process
- Review: All reports are reviewed by our moderation team within 24 hours
- Investigation: We investigate reports thoroughly and may request additional information
- Action: Appropriate action is taken based on the severity of the violation
- Follow-up: Reporters receive updates on the status of their reports when appropriate
Enforcement Actions
Content Removal
- Violating content will be removed from the platform
- Users will be notified when their content is removed and why
Account Warnings
- First-time or minor violations may result in a warning
- Warnings include education about Community Guidelines
- Multiple warnings may lead to further restrictions
Temporary Restrictions
- Posting restrictions for repeated violations
- Temporary suspension from group participation
- Limited access to certain features
Account Suspension
- Temporary removal from Brantr for serious violations
- Duration depends on the severity and frequency of violations
- Users can appeal suspensions through our support team
Permanent Bans
Immediate and permanent removal for:
- Child exploitation or safety violations
- Threats of violence or serious harassment
- Repeated serious violations after warnings and suspensions
- Illegal activities
Appeals Process
- Users can appeal enforcement actions through hello@brantr.app
- Appeals are reviewed by a different team member when possible
- We aim to respond to appeals within 5 business days
- Provide specific information about why you believe the action was incorrect
Age-Appropriate Guidelines
For Users 13-17
- Additional privacy protections apply to users under 18
- Parents and guardians are encouraged to discuss safe social media practices
- Report any adult users who seem to be targeting minors inappropriately
- Be cautious about sharing personal information or meeting strangers
For All Users
- Think before you post - content may be visible to users of all ages
- Be a positive role model for younger community members
- Report content that seems inappropriate for the mixed-age community
- Remember that your actions affect the entire Brantr community
