Brantr ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy and personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your data when you use the Brantr mobile application.
2. Our Data Privacy Commitment
We Do NOT:

- Share your data for advertising purposes
- Provide your data to data brokers
- Share your private messages or personal communications

To provide Brantr's social fitness features, we collect information necessary for account creation, social interactions, and app functionality. This includes basic account details such as your name and email for authentication and communication, profile information you choose to share like photos and location data (with your permission), content you create including posts and comments, social activity such as group memberships and event participation, and optional integrations like Strava activity data when you connect your account. We also collect technical information including device details, usage analytics, and error logs to improve app performance and user experience. Additionally, we request device permissions for features like camera access for photos, location services for events, and push notifications to keep you updated on app activity. All data collection is limited to what's necessary for core app functionality and enhancing your social fitness experience.

- Strava: Activity synchronization (only when you connect your account)

8. Children's Privacy
Brantr is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we've collected information from a child under 13, we'll delete it immediately.
9. Child Safety Standards
As a social app distributed on Google Play and Apple App Store, Brantr complies with Google Play and Apple App Store's Child Safety Standards policy to protect users from Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE).
Our Commitment to Child Safety
Prohibited Content:
Brantr explicitly prohibits Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE) content in all forms. This includes:
- Any content that exploits or abuses children
- Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM)
- Content that facilitates the exploitation or abuse of children
- Any AI-generated content that depicts or promotes child exploitation
Community Standards: Our commitment to child safety is outlined in our publicly accessible Community Guidelines and Terms of Service.
Reporting and Safety Mechanisms
In-App Reporting:
- Users can report concerning content or behavior through our "Give Feedback" feature accessible throughout the app
- Reports can be submitted for any content that violates our child safety policies
- All reports are reviewed by our moderation team within 24 hours
- Users can report potential CSAE content without leaving the app
Content Moderation:
- We maintain a dedicated moderation team trained in identifying CSAE content
- Upon obtaining actual knowledge of CSAM, we immediately remove the content, suspend the account, report to NCMEC, and cooperate with law enforcement
AI Content Safety:
- Our AI systems are designed with safety filters to prevent generation of inappropriate content involving minors
- Users can report AI-generated content through the same in-app reporting system
- We continuously update our AI safety measures based on user reports and platform monitoring

Terms of Use
1. Agreement to Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Brantr, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree with these terms, please don't use our app.
2. Eligibility and Account Requirements
- You must be at least 13 years old to use Brantr
- You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account
- You're responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
3. Acceptable Use
You Agree To:
- Use Brantr for its intended social fitness purposes
- Be respectful and considerate in all interactions
- Provide accurate information in your profile and posts
- Respect other users' privacy and intellectual property
- Follow community guidelines and group rules
You Agree NOT To:
- Harass, bully, or threaten other users
- Post spam, inappropriate content, or false information
- Attempt to hack, disrupt, or damage the app or its systems
- Use the app for any illegal or unauthorized purposes
- Create multiple accounts or impersonate others
- Share or distribute harmful content (malware, viruses, etc.)
4. Strava Integration
When you connect your Strava account:
- You authorize Brantr to access your public Strava activity data
- You can disconnect this integration anytime from the Connected Apps screen
- Strava's own terms of service and privacy policy also apply to your Strava data
- We're not responsible for Strava's service availability or data accuracy
5. User-Generated Content
Your Content
- You retain ownership of content you create and share on Brantr
- By posting content, you grant Brantr a license to display, store, and process it within the app
- You're responsible for ensuring you have rights to share any content you post
- You can delete your content anytime, subject to our data retention policies
AI-Generated Content
- Brantr may use AI to generate responses, "roasts", and other content
- AI-generated content is for entertainment purposes only
- We don't guarantee the accuracy or appropriateness of AI-generated content
- You understand that AI responses may sometimes be unexpected or inappropriate
6. Group Management and Events
Group Administrators
- Group owners and admins have additional responsibilities for managing their groups
- Group leaders can moderate content, manage members, and set group rules
- Group decisions (membership, content moderation) are at the discretion of group leaders
Event Participation
- Event creators are responsible for providing accurate event information
- Brantr is not liable for event cancellations, changes, or real-world issues
- Participants join events at their own risk
7. Intellectual Property
Brantr's Rights
- All Brantr branding, design, and proprietary features are owned by Brantr
- You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works of our app
- "Brantr" and related marks are trademarks of Brantr
Third-Party Content
- Strava integration uses Strava's API and data under license
- Google Maps integration is subject to Google's terms of service
- Other third-party content is used under appropriate licenses

9. Account Suspension and Termination
We May Suspend or Terminate Accounts That:

- Attempt to circumvent our security measures
Termination Process:
- We'll typically provide warnings before suspension
- Serious violations may result in immediate termination
- You can appeal account actions by contacting support
- Upon termination, your data will be deleted according to our retention policies
10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
Service "As Is"
- Brantr is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
- We don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service
- We're not responsible for third-party service outages (Strava, Google, etc.)
Limitation of Liability
- Our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law
- We're not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages
- Our total liability to you will not exceed the amount you've paid us (if any)
Fitness and Health Disclaimer
- Brantr is a social app, not a medical or fitness advice provider
- Consult healthcare professionals before starting new fitness routines
- We're not responsible for injuries or health issues related to activities shared on our platform
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Brantr from claims arising from:
- Your use of the app
- Your violation of these terms
- Your violation of others' rights
- Content you post or share
12. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms of Use:
- Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification
- Continued use after changes indicates acceptance
- If you don't agree with changes, you should stop using Brantr
13. Governing Law and Disputes
Applicable Law
These terms are governed by Australian Consumer Law (ACL) and the Privacy Act 1988 and the State of Victoria. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Federal Court of Australia or Local and Magistrates Court of Victoria, Australia.

14. Severability
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
